Rotary is an organization of over 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
We are proud to say at start of our Thursday noon meetings that “We are the Rotary Club of Fayetteville.”
- We are proud because we have grown steadily since 1921 to be among the top 100 largest Rotary clubs in the world (there are over 34,000 Clubs throughout the world).
- We are proud because we have a diverse Club of over 100 members who, collectively, are connected to virtually every corner of life within Fayetteville and the area.
- We are proud and honored to know one another.
- We are proud because of the good work we do in our community and the area, from cleaning up the litter along Mission Boulevard to funding the Rotary Park at Mt. Kessler.
- We are proud because we partner with Rotary Clubs internationally to “do good in the world.”
- We are proud that the size and scope of our Club is such that we can offer excellent speakers and programs to Rotarians and their guests.
- We are proud because our annual FayRo Classic Softball Tournament provides an exciting venue for top-level girl’s softball competition while providing a significant economic boost to the area.
- We are proud that our Club has produced six District Governors (we are District 6110, which has 82 clubs in the corners of OK, AR, MO, and KS).
- We are proud that we are known as the “music club” because we love to sing and frequently enjoy the music from our talented members.
- We are proud to make a Club-level commitment to have fun in all that we do (“Is it fun?” is a Club maxim)
- We are especially proud to invite you to join us for any Thursday noon meeting at Mermaids Restaurant in Fayetteville (just come in and tell anyone with a badge that you want to learn more about Rotary and, of course, that you want to enjoy a great Mermaids lunch). If you'd prefer to join by Zoom, contact fvillerotary@gmail.com for the link.
Each week our club raises funds to support an area nonprofit. Check the weekly bulletin to learn which organization we're supporting this month. If you'd like to contribute to the Buck Cups, use this PayPal QR code:
